TL;DR

Arnold Clark Charge, the UK-wide ultra-rapid EV charging network, has partnered with Paua to make its chargers available through Paua’s business-focused platform.

The move boosts charging access for fleets and business drivers, combining Arnold Clark’s fast, affordable network with Paua’s unified payment and fleet management tools.

Both companies say the partnership supports the UK’s transition to electric mobility with reliable, low-cost, and effortless charging.

Arnold Clark Charge announce Paua as new fleet roaming partner

Arnold Clark Charge, the growing UK-wide ultra-rapid EV charging network, is delighted to announce a new roaming partnership with Paua, the EV charging payment platform designed specifically for business drivers.

This partnership strengthens Arnold Clark Charge’s commitment to making public charging as seamless and accessible as possible for all electric vehicle (EV) users.

Paua’s platform is purpose-built for fleet and business users, offering access to over 65,000 public charge point connectors across the UK through a single card orapp. Paua’s software includes powerful tools such as home charging reimbursement, vehicle size filtering, depot sharing and advanced controls and API’s for sophisticated businesses making it easier for fleet managers to control costs, streamline reporting, and support drivers wherever they plug in.

The addition of Paua to Arnold Clark Charge’s list of roaming partners means even more EV drivers can access and pay for charging using their preferred platform.

Launched last year as part of a £30 million investment by Arnold Clark, the UK’s largest independently owned, family-run car retailer, Arnold Clark Charge has quickly established itself as a key player in the UK charging landscape.

The network now boasts over 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs at Arnold Clark branches nationwide, all of which are open to the public.

Each hub features up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers, capable of delivering charging speeds of up to 150kW, allowing drivers to top up quickly and get back on the road.

Work is already well under way to expand the network, with more locations set to open by the end of the year.

Drivers benefit from one of the most competitive rates in the market, with ultra-rapid charging available at just 55p/kWh - significantly lower than the UK average of 76p/kWh*.

Payments can be made easily through the Arnold Clark app or via contactless at all charging hubs - and now with the addition of Paua, business drivers can use the Paua app and Paua card to utilise the Arnold Clark chargers.

Russell Borrie, Chief Executive Officer at Arnold Clark, said: “We're committed to investing in the future of the automotive industry and making electric vehicle charging accessible to everyone.

“With electric vehicles becoming increasingly popular, it’s essential that our charging infrastructure keeps pace with rising demand.

“That’s why we’ve made significant investments in our own UK-wide, bookable ultra-rapid charging network, Arnold Clark Charge.

“These new charging hubs are designed to provide the public with convenient, reliable, and cost-effective charging solutions while they're on the move.”

Pablo Levi, Group Sustainability Manager at Arnold Clark, commented: "We’re thrilled to welcome Paua to the Arnold Clark Charge family, allowing us to provide EV drivers with even greater options.

"We want to support UK business drivers transitioning to EVs by offering a smooth payment experience."

Niall Riddell, CEO & Co-founder at Paua stated “Reliable infrastructure is the backbone of every successful fleet electrification plan. Arnold Clark Charge brings that in spades, high speed, great pricing, and now fully accessible through Paua. It’s another step forward in our mission to make electric charging effortless for businesses.”
