TL;DR
Paua further expands charging network with new high-powered sites from Eon Drive Infrastructure
Paua, the UK’s leading aggregator of electric vehicle charge points for fleets, is pleased to announce a new integration with Eon Drive Infrastructure (EDRI), bringing 22 new locations and 177 high-powered connectors into the Paua network.
This latest expansion propels Paua’s footprint beyond 65,000 connectors, strengthening Paua's position as one of the largest and most comprehensive EV charging networks in the country.
“This isn’t just more plugs in more places,” said Niall Riddell, CEO and Co-founder at Paua. “It’s smart infrastructure, aligned with fleet needs; high-powered, strategically located, and ready for the real-world diversity of electric vehicles hitting the road. Our partners continue to develop leading infrastructure making the transition easier”
More Power, More Flexibility
- High-powered chargers dominate the new EDRI sites, designed to support fast turnaround for time-sensitive fleet operations.
- Several sites also accommodate ‘medium’ sized vehicles; those too big for standard bays, yet not quite HGVs.
Paua is developing key understanding for vehicle sizes for EV charging in the EV Transition
The EV industry continues to grapple with how to categorise vehicle types. Paua has introduced its own three-tiered vehicle size filters to bring clarity to fleet operators:
- Small = Fits a standard parking bay (e.g. passenger cars, compact vans)
- Medium = Larger than a standard bay but smaller than an artic (e.g. Luton vans, 7.5 tonne trucks)
- Large = Articulated 40-tonne+ trucks and HGVs
This new integration includes a number of ‘medium-ready’ sites, making it easier for operators to filter by vehicle size and route effectively.
Why It Matters
With fleet electrification accelerating and pressure mounting on decarbonisation goals, access to high-quality, diverse charging infrastructure is no longer optional; it’s essential.
Eddie Electrification, our favourite fleet innovator, now has even more tools to keep his business charging forward, efficiently and reliably.
Available Now in Paua Access
These new EDRI locations are now live and accessible via Paua Access, with location data, connector types, and power levels fully integrated into the platform. Business drivers can start using the new sites immediately; no new cards, no new apps, just seamless charging.
