TL;DR
Paua has partnered with Connekt EV Charging to give business fleets access to more charging locations across Scotland and the UK, including hotels and destination charging sites.
Fleet operators can negotiate their own charging tariffs with Connekt while continuing to use Paua's single card, app and consolidated billing platform.
Paua and Connekt EV Charging partner to expand EV charging access across the UK
Partnership brings Connekt's growing UK charging network to Paua fleet customers, with fleet-specific charging tariffs.
4th November 2026 | UK – Paua, the UK's leading independent EV charging payment platform for business fleets, has announced a new partnership with Connekt EV Charging, Scotland's largest and most reliable privately owned charge point operator (CPO), expanding charging access for commercial drivers across the UK.
The partnership brings Connekt's growing network of public EV charging locations into Paua's aggregated charging network, allowing business drivers to find, access and pay for charging through their existing Paua card or app.
Connekt EV Charging is expanding its presence across Scotland, including taking responsibility for charge points transitioning from the ChargePlace Scotland network. As Scotland moves towards a new model of public charging provision, Connekt is helping ensure that drivers continue to have access to reliable, convenient and competitively priced charging infrastructure.
Flexible tariffs for business fleets
Beyond expanding geographical coverage, the partnership introduces additional commercial flexibility for fleet operators through Paua's Bring Your Own Tariff model.
Under this arrangement, businesses can negotiate their own charging rates directly with Connekt EV Charging while Paua manages the charging transactions, consolidated billing and administration.
Fleet managers can therefore benefit from individually agreed charging rates without having to introduce separate charging cards, payment accounts or invoicing processes.
Niall Riddell, CEO and Co-founder of Paua, said:
"Connekt is doing some excellent work expanding charging availability across Scotland, including taking on infrastructure previously managed through ChargePlace Scotland. We are delighted to make their network available to our fleet customers.
"What makes this partnership particularly interesting is our Bring Your Own Tariff approach. Fleet customers can negotiate the best commercial terms directly with Connekt, while Paua takes care of the administration, payments and reporting. It means businesses get the benefit of their negotiated charging rates without the complexity of managing another charging supplier. That's exactly what a modern EV fuel card should deliver."
Supporting Scotland's growing EV charging network
Scotland's EV charging market is undergoing significant change as charging infrastructure moves from the historic ChargePlace Scotland platform to a range of commercial operators.
Connekt is playing a role in this transition, supporting existing charging infrastructure while developing new charging locations to meet growing demand.
Expanding across the UK through new sites and acquisitions
Having established itself as Scotland's largest and most reliable privately owned CPO, Connekt has developed a proven blueprint for building and operating public charging networks, and has already built early momentum in England. The company intends to install a further 2,500 chargers in England by 2029.
Connekt also plans to acquire other charge point operators (CPOs) over the next 24 months, as part of an ambitious growth strategy to increase the rate at which it can expand its network across the UK.
Johnny Manning, CEO & Founder at Connekt EV Charging, said:
"We've built Scotland's largest and most reliable privately owned charging network, and we now have the blueprint to do the same across the rest of the UK. We've already built early momentum in England, where we intend to install another 2,500 chargers by 2029, and we plan to acquire other CPOs over the next 24 months to accelerate that growth even further.
"Partnering with Paua puts our network in front of more business and fleet drivers, and many of those drivers stay in hotels when they travel for work. As the fourth-largest provider of hotel EV charging in the UK, we can make sure they start the next day with a fully charged vehicle. With flexible commercial terms and a reliable network behind them, we can help more businesses make the transition to electric vehicles with confidence."
One charging solution for business fleets
Paua provides businesses with access to over 100,000 EV charging connectors across the UK, bringing public, workplace, shared depot and home charging together through a single platform.
For fleet managers, the Connekt partnership provides additional charging options across the UK while preserving the simplicity of a single charging card, app, management dashboard and consolidated invoice.
Many fleet drivers stay in hotels when travelling on business, which makes hotels one of the most practical places for them to charge. Connekt is the fourth-largest provider of EV charging in hotels across the UK and specialises in destination charging at hotel, hospitality and leisure venues, giving fleet drivers reliable places to charge while they stay overnight, meet clients or take a break on longer journeys.
The partnership reinforces both companies' commitment to making electric vehicle charging more accessible and commercially practical for businesses of all sizes.
