TL;DR

Paua is partnering with Humax to integrate its MX7 smart home charger into Paua Reimburse.

The integration will combine vehicle identification, charging data, tariffs and mileage information, helping fleets automate accurate home charging reimbursement as part of one platform spanning home, public, workplace and shared depot charging.

Paua partners with Humax to strengthen its purpose-built fleet charging platform

Humax’s vehicle identification technology will strengthen Paua’s purpose-built platform for managing the complete electric fleet charging journey.

Paua has partnered with global technology company Humax to integrate the Humax MX7 smart home charger into Paua Reimburse.

The integration will bring accurate charger andvehicle data into a single fleet platform spanning the four main locations ,where commercial vehicles charge: at home, on the public network, at work places and at shared depots.

Paua has developed its technology from the ground up specifically for commercial electric fleets. Rather than combining separate public charging, mileage and reimbursement products, Paua connects payments, charging access, reimbursement, controls and data across the complete charging journey.

The Humax integration will strengthen this platform by enabling compatible chargers to identify which vehicle is connected using ISO 15118 technology. This can give fleets greater confidence that charging activity relates to the correct company vehicle, rather than another electric vehicle at the employee’s home.

Accurate home charging without the administrative burden

Charging session data from the Humax MX7 will flow automatically into Paua Reimburse, helping businesses calculate and manage employee home charging payments without relying on manual submissions or estimates of electricity consumption.

Paua Reimburse can combine charger data with the driver’s home electricity tariff and business mileage information. Fleet managers can then review charging costs, approve reimbursements and export payment information for payroll or other payment processes.

The solution will support fleets operating company cars, vans and other commercial vehicles, including organisations whose drivers charge across a mixture of home, workplace, public and shared depot locations.

Through the integration, businesses will be able mto:

  • Capture actual home charging consumption automatically
  • Identify the vehicle connected to a compatible Humax charger
  • Distinguish company vehicle charging from other household EV usage
  • Apply the driver’s relevant home electricity tariff
  • Separate business and private mileage
  • Review and approve reimbursements centrally
  • Export approved payments for payroll processing
  • View home charging alongside wider fleet charging activity

One platform across the complete charging journey

Electric fleet charging is often fragmented across fuel card providers, consumer charging applications, mileage platforms and standalone reimbursement tools.

Paua replaces this patchwork with one driver experience, one fleet dashboard and one integrated source of charging data.

Alongside home charging reimbursement, Paua enables bfleets to manage charging:

  • At home, through automated reimbursement using charging and mileage data
  • On the road, through one of the UK’s largest aggregated public charging networks
  • At work, through workplace and depot charging integrations
  • At shared depots, through the UK’s largest permissioned shared charging network

This gives fleet managers greater visibility over costs, charging behaviour and vehicle activity, while providing drivers with a consistent experience wherever they charge.

Niall Riddell, CEO and co-founder of Paua, said:

“Electric fleet charging cannot be solved one location at a time. Drivers charge at home, at work, on the public network and increasingly at shared depots. Fleets need those environments connected, not four separate systems held together by spreadsheets.

“Paua was built from the ground up to provide that connection. We combine payments, reimbursement, charging access, controls and data across the complete charging journey, supported by a team that understands commercial fleets.

“We believe Paua now offers the UK’s most complete integrated charging platform for commercial fleets. Home reimbursement is an important part of that platform, but it works best when it connects with the rest of a fleet’s charging activity.

“Humax adds a particularly valuable capability. By identifying the vehicle connected to the charger, we can give businesses greater confidence that the right energy use is being attributed to the rightvehicle.”

Jeff Kim, President Humax Europe said:

“As more businesses transition their fleets to electric vehicles, accurate and simple home charging reimbursement is becoming essential.

“Our partnership with Paua combines Humax’s intelligent charging and vehicle identification technology with a platform developed specifically for commercial electric fleets.

“Together, we can provide employers with greater confidence in their charging data while making reimbursement simpler and more transparent for drivers.”

Humax is a global technology and connectivity business operating across more than 90 countries. Its EV charging division combines in-house hardware, software and connected-device expertise with installation, commissioning and UK-based after-sales support.

The Humax MX7 supports technologies including ISO15118 and OCPP, providing a foundation for intelligent, connected and future-ready charging.

The integration is currently in development, with further availability information to follow.
