Request on-street EV charging for your fleet drivers
Help your drivers charge electric vans and cars near home
Not every fleet driver has a driveway.
If your electric vehicles are taken home overnight, a lack of convenient local charging can make fleet electrification harder, more expensive and less practical.
Paua works with leading UK on-street charging networks. Tell us where your drivers need to charge and we will explore whether one of our charging partners could support that location.

No driveway should not mean no electric vehicle
Many commercial vehicles return to a driver’s home at the end of the working day.
For drivers with a driveway, installing a home charge point may provide a simple solution.
But many drivers:
- Park on the street without access to a driveway
- Live in flats or shared accommodation
- Cannot reserve the space outside their home
- Are unable to run a charging cable safely across a pavement
- Do not have suitable electrical or landlord permissions
This can leave drivers dependent on rapid charging during working hours, potentially increasing charging costs and taking vehicles away from productive work.
On-street and kerbside charging can provide another option by allowing vehicles to charge close to where drivers live, often overnight.
Finding an on-street charging partner
Paua is connected to many of the UK’s leading on-street EV charging operators, including networks deploying lamppost, bollard and kerbside charging infrastructure.
Our partners include operators such as:
Each operator has different installation programmes, local authority relationships, technologies and location requirements.
Rather than asking fleet managers to approach every network individually, Paua can gather the location information and engage suitable charging partners on your behalf.
An installation cannot be guaranteed. However, accurate location information can help charging operators identify genuine fleet demand and assess whether a location could form part of a future deployment.
How the service works
Tell us where charging is needed
Complete the form with the driver’s postcode, an approximate what3words location and any relevant information about where the vehicle normally parks.
Please only provide a location where the driver would reasonably and safely be able to charge.
Paua reviews the request
A member of the Paua team will contact you to understand the fleet requirement, including the vehicle type, expected charging pattern and number of drivers affected.
We approach relevant charging operators
We will share the location and fleet requirement with appropriate on-street charging partners.
The charging operator may assess factors including local authority plans, existing infrastructure, likely demand, pavement layout, power availability and installation feasibility.
We update you on potential options
Where a partner is interested in the location, we will introduce the relevant parties and help move the conversation forward.
Who is this service for?

This service is designed for businesses operating electric cars, vans or commercial vehicles whose drivers take vehicles home overnight.
It may be particularly useful for:
- Service and maintenance fleets
- Utilities and infrastructure businesses
- Local authority fleets
- Delivery and logistics operators
- Construction and engineering businesses
- Housing and property services
- Leasing and fleet management companies
- Businesses preparing to introduce electric vans
Requests can cover one driver, a group of employees or multiple locations across a fleet.
Why request on-street charging through Paua?
One request, multiple potential partners
Paua can engage relevant charging networks without your fleet having to approach each operator separately.
Strong on-street charging coverage
Paua provides access to one of the UK’s largest aggregated on-street charging networks, helping business drivers use compatible charging infrastructure through one fleet charging solution.
Built around commercial vehicles
We understand that fleet charging is not the same as consumer charging. Vehicle size, working patterns, overnight dwell time, reliability, reporting and payment all matter.
Charging that can become part of your fleet solution
Where new charging infrastructure becomes available through a compatible partner, your drivers may be able to access it alongside the rest of the Paua network using one app, charge card and consolidated invoice.
Request an on-street EV charging location
Tell us where your drivers need to charge.
The more precise the information, the easier it will be for Paua and our charging partners to understand the opportunity.
Frequently asked questions
No. Paua does not charge a fleet to submit a request or to explore the location with our charging partners.
Separate charging tariffs or commercial arrangements may apply if infrastructure is installed and subsequently used.
No. Charger deployment will depend on the charging operator, local authority, site suitability, available power, expected usage and other practical considerations.
Submitting accurate information helps demonstrate genuine demand, but an installation cannot be guaranteed.
The charger would normally be installed on or beside the public highway, rather than as a private charger belonging to a specific driver.
The exact location would be determined by the charge point operator and, where relevant, the local authority. It may not be possible to install it immediately outside the requested property.
Usually not. Most on-street charging infrastructure is available to other authorised EV drivers and does not provide a permanently reserved parking space.
Local parking and charging restrictions will apply.
Yes. The service is specifically intended to help fleets explore charging options for drivers who cannot install a conventional home charger.
Yes. Fleets can submit several driver locations. For larger lists, contact Paua and we can agree a suitable format for providing the information.
Suitability will depend on the individual location, parking bay and charging equipment.
Please tell us whether the vehicle is a car, small van, large van or truck so that we can avoid suggesting infrastructure that is unsuitable for the vehicle.
Timescales vary considerably. Some opportunities may align with an existing local deployment, while others may require new approvals, surveys, power connections and highways work.
Paua will share any indicative timescale provided by the charging operator.
Paua will prioritise compatible charging partners wherever possible. This means drivers may be able to use the charger through the same Paua app, charge card and fleet account they use across the wider Paua network.
For an initial assessment, we need the postcode, an approximate what3words location and information about where the vehicle normally parks.
We do not need unnecessary personal information about the driver.
A postcode can cover several streets or properties. A what3words location helps identify a more precise section of pavement or parking area and can make the initial assessment more useful.
Simply click on a convenient square near the location you want the charger and send us the three words and will take it from there. https://what3words.com/
Yes. Paua can also help fleets identify nearby public charging, workplace charging, shared depot charging and home reimbursement options as part of a broader fleet charging strategy.
Build a charging plan that works for every driver
Fleet electrification becomes much easier when drivers can charge in the places where vehicles naturally stop.
Tell Paua where charging is needed and we will help explore the available options.
