Paua opens access to Tilbury truck charging hub for UK fleets

Paua has integrated Fleete’s new electric HGV charging hub at the Port of Tilbury into its network, giving fleet operators immediate access to one of the UK’s most advanced truck charging sites.

The Tilbury site is built specifically for HGVs and sits at a key logistics gateway serving London and the South East.

Site specs include:

·16 dedicated HGV charging bays

·Up to 360kW charging speeds

·5MW grid connection

·24/7 access for fleets

Unlike traditional public EV charging sites designed primarily for cars, the Tilbury hub has been developed specifically around the operational needs of commercial vehicles, including larger bays, high-power charging and freight-focused access.

Truck and van drivers using Paua can now turn up, charge, and pay using a single solution, without needing separate accounts or cards.

Aggregated access is becoming increasingly important for freight operators, reducing administrative complexity and removing the need for drivers to manage multiple apps, cards and payment systems while on the road.

The move strengthens Paua’s position as the UK’s largest aggregated truck charging network, giving fleets broader coverage across public hubs,multi-use sites, and shared depots.

The addition of Fleete further strengthens Paua’s position at the centre of the UK’s emerging electric truck charging ecosystem.

As more electric trucks enter operation over the coming years, industry collaboration between charging operators, software platforms and fleets is expected to play a critical role in accelerating adoption.

Paua said the integration is part of a wider push to give fleets simple, nationwide access to truck-compatible charging through a single account. Hams Hall Distribution Park and Fleete’s nine other development sites will also become available to Paua customers once these sites become operational

The Port of Tilbury site is now available to Paua fleet customers.
